8. WHY DO WE CERTIFY ISO STANDARDS AT INGALFARMA?

At Ingalfarma, we have certified the ISO 9001: 2015 standard for quality and ISO 13485: 2016 for quality in medical devices. What does this mean and how does it translate into our products?

There are numerous definitions, but in simple words, quality is the set of properties and characteristics of a product or service that allows to satisfy needs, tastes, and preferences, and to meet consumer expectations. Such properties or characteristics could be related to the inputs used, the design, the presentation, the aesthetics, the conservation, the durability, the customer service, the after-sales service, etc.

When quality is present in our products, processes, collaborators, and suppliers, it is possible to obtain an organization in which there is:

  • Higher level of customer satisfaction: the primary focus of our organization is customer satisfaction and it is through this approach that all other processes are aligned.
  • International recognition: these standards are international and equivalent to those that apply in any country in the world.
  • Trust: these quality standards translate into trust when purchasing our product. A company can more easily achieve its objectives by building trust with its customers.

It is for this – and for many other reasons – that we continue to work on continually improving the Quality Management System of our organization.
